A hybrid car carrier that incorporates natural energy, the "EMERALD ACE," jointly developed by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Panasonic.
The vessel is equipped with Panasonic's "HIT Double" solar modules and the "lithium-ion battery system" to create and store energy from sunlight and supply partial energy needed for various activities while in port.
